Emmerdale spoilers see Gail head into surgery next week, amid a huge twist for Ryan with their son Oscar. Next week on the ITV soap, Ryan is left devastated when he receives the news that he isn't a match for Oscar. He is crushed by the prospect and is comforted by Marlon, but there is relief all round when Gail rushes in to say she is a match. They agree to meet up with Oscar ahead of the surgery, but Ryan is worried about their first time meeting.

At the hospital, Gail and Oscar seem to get on really well whilst Ryan hangs back, clearly feeling like the odd one out. As conversation switches to music, Ryan begins to bond with Oscar whilst a nervous Sophie watches on.
She is clearly concerned about the growing friendship between them all, whilst back at the Woolpack, Marlon reminds Gail that she needs to tread carefully around Oscar's adoptive mother. How important tomorrow is suddenly dawns on them. The next day, Ryan is nervous and he supports Gail who goes into surgery. The pair are hopeful they can now be a part of Oscar's life.

Next week on the show, David asks Jacob to make excuses for him after he accidentally agreed to a second date with a woman called Abby. Jacob tells Abby David's not going to be there, but Jacob offers to have a drink with her as a jealous Victoria watches on.
When she's gone, things go up a notch between Jacob and Victoria and soon the pair are locked in a passionate kiss. Panicking and realising she shouldn't, Victoria hurries off but Jacob is left thrilled by their kiss.
David thinks there's hope with him and Victoria as he takes her words of comfort as something more. When Jacob sees Victoria later, she can't let him leave and he decides to lean in for a kiss. As Pollard attempts to get David to move on, he is still focused on Victoria and is adamant they can make it work if he starts to work at repairing the bridges burned between them.
Jacob and Victoria spend the night together but when David arrives unannounced, they are left stunned. It's very awkward as Victoria tries to get rid of David, but he seems bemused about how it all happened. Jacob is relieved when David tells him things aren't going to work for him and Victoria, but it's clear that's not the case.
