Harry and Meghan's two major signals that show 'toned down' affection

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have certainly endured a whirlwind few months after a dramatic return to the spotlight. The couple have made a string of high-profile public appearances of late, including at the Invictus Games in Germany and a mental health summit in New York City last week. Their outings came as cruel rumours began to swirl about the state of their marriage - and these were quickly dismissed by friends.

But according to a body language expert, it's clear to see their relationship has gone through a change compared to the early days of their romance - and it's clear to see this through two clear signals.

Darren Stanton believes that the couple will still do anything they can to support each other - but their public affection has definitely toned down. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, he explained: "Harry and Megan’s relationship has evolved. When looking at their body language, their public displays of affection have changed drastically over the years.

"When they started dating and became more established as an official couple, they were very affectionate in public, almost more affectionate than William and Kate. But I feel that they have toned it down a bit in recent times. I have seen their engaged eye contact has decreased and they aren't as tactile with one another.

While they do love each other and they will do anything to support one another, we tend not to see them being as openly passionate. Despite this, the pair clearly have huge levels of respect for each other, and are there for each other through everything."

Meanwhile, Darren has also analysed the Prince and Princess of Wales' body language too - and also sees a change in their relationship as well. He added: "William and Kate are a very strong couple, and their relationship has continued to evolve and grow even stronger over the years. They started off as independent students who found true love.

"They were sweethearts, and we still see that side to them now. An important thing I have seen over the years is that both their levels of confidence and independence - in public and private - have really developed. We have never seen senior members of the Royal family be so affectionate with one another in the public eye.

"If we look back at photographs of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, we would never have seen them holding hands or being tactile with each other. This shows how in tune William and Kate are with each other on an emotional level. They're also not afraid to be open and honest through their body gestures about how they feel.

"They've really broken the mould, and there's a level of humour, playfulness and mischievousness to them when they want to be - which is really refreshing to see."
