If you're trying and failing to access your Barclays Bank account today via the app then you are not alone. It appears the popular financial provider is having some serious issues with its online service leaving many unable to log in, check balances and transfer money.
The gremlins began earlier this morning, October 17, and are still ongoing. In fact, online outage monitor, Down Detector, is showing a growing stream of complaints with some 2,000 reports at its peak.
Speaking on its Down Detector forum page, one Barclays customer called Shelley said: "App not working, PC not working, even Barclays own service status not working! We expect better Barclays!"
Whilst another, named Irving, added: "App not working, online banking page not working, status page not working...grrr!"
It's currently unclear what is causing the outage but Barclays has confirmed they are having problems and their IT team is working on a fix.

"If you're having problems logging into our app or Online Banking right now - we're sorry," Barclays said in an update.
"We're working to fix this and will update you as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can still use our automated telephone service as normal."
There's no word on how long things will be down but Mirror Online will update this article when we hear more.
