Invincible season 2 trailer drops on Prime Video and fans are impressed

The official trailer for Prime Video's eagerly-awaited Invincible season two has finally arrived - and fans can't wait to take flight once again with the adult animated series.

This enormously popular comic book adaptation follows teenager Mark Grayson’s struggling transition into a superhero, under the guidance of his father Omni-Man, the most powerful being on the planet. The intriguing premise has Mark showing zero signs of his father's powers until after his fateful 17th birthday. The revelation sends him spiralling head-first into several tricky situations that really test his newly-acquired powers to the limit. And as Mark slowly learns to master his abilities, he discovers his father's legacy may not be quite as heroic as it seems.

It's been more than two years since the first Invincible season premiered on Prime Video, with fans eager to devour the next instalment. And avid viewers will remember the nailbiting finale ended with (spoiler alert!) Omni-Man flying away from Earth after murdering the Guardians of the Globe, fighting against the Global Defense Agency, and almost destroying his own son. According to Prime Video's official synopsis, season 2 will see Mark struggling to rebuild his life "as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it." The new season will also explore the concept of the multiverse.

YouTubers can't wait

Fans were beside themselves with glee after watching the new trailer. Here are just some of the comments:
