Audiobooks are an increasingly popular way to read the latest books on the market as you can tune into them easily and read on the go. Whether you're doing errands around the house, out on a walk or commuting, you can effortlessly listen to your latest read and boost your annual target.

Audible is a popular platform to listen on, with it syncing up beautifully with Kindle and offering competitive prices. A subscription to the service costs £7.99 a month and at the minute they're offering a 30 day free trial so you can see if its for you.

There's also a number of exclusive audiobooks that you can't find anywhere else. Each month you get one credit to purchase any book you'd like - and if you don't like it you can get a refund of your credit and pick something else.

Not only do you get your monthly credit, but Audible members have unlimited access to the Plus Catalogue which has thousands of Audible Originals, podcasts and audiobooks. You can download your listens so you can read along at any point regardless of if you have internet access.

There is an Amazon Original series called Sleep Sound where celebrities including Maya Jama, Jamie Dornan and Sienna Miller will talk you to sleep. There's even a sleep timer so you can listen to a bedtime story every night without worrying about losing your spot in your book.

You can tune into classical novels read by massive celebrity names such as Emma Thompson, Florence Pugh, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Billie Piper and Claire Foy. The Jane Austen Collection has brought in thousands of high ratings with an average score of 4.6 from 2,428 ratings.

One happy listener wrote: "This is an amazing reading of the JA books. I loved the background music and my only very slight criticism is that some text was slightly changed or missed out but overall I loved the narration.

"Close your eyes and listen, its like being there with the characters. There are background sounds too like walking, knives and forks on plates, crowds etc. Its wonderful. Thank you audible."

The Mirror's Jada Jones is a big fan of the service. She said: "I've been using Audible on and off for years, it's a really useful way to listen to books that would otherwise be a little daunting. I really struggle picking up anything over 700 pages but when it's measured in hours and I can listen along in the shower, while doing the dishes or while getting groceries it makes it feel way more accessible.

"Books with multiple perspectives or fantasy novels with hard to pronounce names are a delight to listen to as well - especially highly anticipated releases since there's no waiting to start listening once they're released. I've already pre-ordered Iron Flame as Fourth Wing was such a great listen.

"I think audiobooks are a great option for people who struggle to sit down with a book but have an interest in them. I know many people who haven't enjoyed reading physical books have found a lot of success with audiobooks."

There are other services where you can listen to audiobooks, a popular one at the minute is Spotify Premium which now offers 15 hours of audiobook listening time each month. This isn't quite as much as Audible but the subscription does include music and the chance to download your listens.

You can get a 30 day free trial of Audible now with cancellations being available at any time.
