I'm A Celebrity first look as ITV releases trailer for 2023 series

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is finally making a return to our screens, and fans won't have to wait long.

Viewers went into meltdown on Saturday night when a teasing 10 second trailer was aired on ITV. A voiceover said: "Come away with us. Far, far away. The Jungle Retreat awaits" before the unmistakeable chimes of the I'm A Celeb music could be heard playing in the background.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly look eager to get back to Australia as they both shared the advert to their social media pages. The reality show will be back in November this year, with a new line-up yet to be revealed.

Each year, viewers tune in to the exciting series as a new batch of celebrity campmates face their worst nightmares in the Australian jungle, including being voted by the public to do a notorious Bushtucker trial.

The unforgiving trial sees celebrities endure tough challenges filled with frightening insects and participate in vile eating and drinking tasks. Without successfully completing a task, losers return to camp empty-handed and have to survive on rice and beans along with their campmates.

The previous series hit the headlines after disgraced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock entered camp, and sparked furious fury online for his appearance. While the list of castmates for the new series is yet to be unveiled by ITV, the rumored line-up of stars includes EastEnders icon Danny Dyer, former MP Liz Truss, and This Morning host Josie Gibson.

The new series of I'm A Celebrity could welcome a 'superstar' by bringing racing legend Frankie Dettori on board. The 52-year-old is no stranger to reality TV, and has previously taken part in Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, so will be well versed in entertaining a TV audience whilst competing to win.

A source told The Sun: "Frankie is a superstar signing for jungle casting producers as he is a legend in the horse racing world and would be reality TV gold. He might be pint-sized, but his personality is larger than life and he has real charm and a sense of humour. Frankie would be brilliant in the Bushtucker Trials too as being competitive is second nature to him."

Last year's line-up saw the show take place back Down Under after two years in Wales, with footballing star Jill Scott taking home the jungle crown.
