Golf icon Tiger Woods could not hide his amazement after a 11-year-old prodigy pulled off the stunning feat of hitting two hole-in-ones in the same round.

The legendary 15-time major victor was among the the witnesses as youngster Holden Bautista left onlookers speechless after his remarkable showing at the TGR Jr Invitational. After making his first ace at the Hay short course at Pebble Beach, he would repeat his heroics with another on hole eight.

The contest is arranged by Woods himself and the 47-year-old great was among those who were first to congratulate the boy wonder after he produced the round of a lifetime. The former world number one shook the prospect's hand, before telling him: "Proud of you," adding "keep at it."

By the time the two were reunited at a Q&A session, Bautista did not hold back as he asked the legendary Woods a cheeky question in reference to his aces. He said: "Well, one, have you ever gotten two hole in ones in one round? I, I mean, you’re the GOAT, I feel like it would be expected."

The query led to a chorus of laughter in the room, with word seemingly having gone around of the boy's incredible exploits earlier in the day. Clearly amused by the youngster's confidence, Woods lowered his head and laughed at the question before simply replying: "He just mic-dropped it on top of everybody, right?"

Bautista didn't stop there, however, and he would ask another question of his idol at the reception, as he made the most of the opportunity to gain some advice. He asked: "But also, after something like a hole in one or like a chip-in. What’s your mentality moving forward into the next hole?"

From there, Woods would take a more serious tone as he clearly saw the opportunity to leave the boy with some important words of wisdom. In a final nod to the prodigy's achievement, he joked: "Yeah, you had to go there, double-hole-in-one time. OK, I’ll give you that one."

After that he then replied: "Uh, no, but seriously, on a serious note to that, when I’ve had a high of making an eagle or a hole-out or I’ve had the low of making a tap-in for a 10, it’s about, as I was saying earlier, it’s about staying right here, right now."

Woods has been tipped to potentially take over from Zach Johnson as Team USA's captain for the next Ryder Cup. His compatriots fell to a listless loss against Europe at this year's edition in his absence, as he continues his recovery from a car crash which left him with a shattered ankle in February 2022.
