I've got CCTV cameras all around my house. Some were quite cheap, some were pretty expensive, but you can't put a price on peace of mind.

They're a great first line of defence in a layered security approach and I've even been able to help the local police out before when they wanted to see footage of a pair of burglars fleeing the scene of a van break-in.

And the device that captured that video? The Eufy Solocam S220. Of all the cameras I've installed, it was the easiest to fit, it's the easiest to use and, thanks to its on-board solar panel, I've never had to charge it.

It's actually the most expensive camera in my collection at £109.99 but here's the good news - it's offered with an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days discount for just £74.99. That's quite a big saving.

To be honest, there are cameras with better resolution, and I've tested a few that are quicker to load up from their app, but one of the other things I love about the Solocam S220 is its free cloud storage.

It works best when it's paired with Eufy's Home Base, and that's an added expense but, even without one, it will give you crisp, clear video coverage with AI detection and night vision capabilities.

And, let's not forget, it's completely wireless. Because it's recharged by solar, you don't need to hook it up to the household mains, and you won't need to plug it into your router, because it connects to your WiFi.

At £109.99 I considered it very good value for money, but at £74.99 it's a bit of a bargain. Definitely worth snapping up while you still can.
