Meghan Markle wore a very sweet £3,300 ($4,100) tribute to her eldest son Prince Archie while attending an Archewell event in New York City on Tuesday in aid of mental wellness.

Prince Harry and Meghan are currently in New York for the first time since their "near catastrophic" car chase back in May. The duo were seen in the Big Apple yesterday, with them in the area for their Archewell Foundation's Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age for the World Mental Health Day Festival.

While the Duchess was in attendance at the summit with her doting husband, to whom she gave an affectionate nickname while giving a speech, Meghan paid tribute to her eldest son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The former Suits star was spotted wearing a necklace with her son's birthstone in the form of a sleek $4,100 (£3,300) Queen Emerald Cut Cuban Choker, which was a nod to the tot who was born in 2019.

The 14-carat solid gold choker from the Los Angeles-based jewellery brand Logan Hollowell, that Meghan donned featured a Colombian Emerald which was a sweet nod to her son. Prince Archie of Sussex was born at 05:26 on Monday, May 6 2019, which means his birthstone is an emerald, with the prince, who is seventh in line to the throne, honoured by his mother when she wore the stone.

The Archewell Foundation's Parents' Summit was the first ever in-person event for the foundation, which was named after Meghan and Prince Harry's son, meaning Archie was honoured not once, but twice.

While at the event, Meghan referred to her husband Harry as "this one" before she voiced her concerns for her children and their future as they grow up. In her speech at the Archwell event in New York on Tuesday, she said: "Being a mum is the most important thing in my entire life… outside of course, being a wife to this one [Harry].

"But I will say I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again quite young, so this isn't in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened by how it's continuing to change and this will be in front of us. They say being a parent - the days are long, but the years are short.

"So it worries me, but I'm also given a lot of hope and a lot of energy by the progress we've made in the past year."
