Horrific footage captures today ruthless Hamas gunmen break into an Israeli family's house and shoot dead their beloved pet dog.

As the Israel-Palestinian war rages on, Be'eri, a tiny farming community of 1,000 people, was targeted in the latest raid. More than 100 bodies have been found there alone, following dozens of shocking attacks.

One rampage saw murderous Hamas militants rifle dead the dog before storming the home, raiding the family's fridge and setting the home alight in Be'eri. The clip, obtained from the GoPro camera attached to the helmet of one Hamas fighter, shows how the dog came bounding out of the house towards the attackers and was immediately mowed down with several bullets. Mirror has edited the clip as it deems it too graphic to show in full.

The fighters also rifle through the family's belongings, drink orange juice from their fridge and gorge on its other contents in the sickening footage, which lays bare the ruthlessness Israel faces currently. More than 1,600 have already died in the conflict, now into its fourth day.

In another harrowing attack - again in Be'eri - a second group of Hamas militants gained access to a gated compound by slaughtering civilians at near point-blank range as they sat in a car.

CCTV camera footage captured the second raid and showed two Hamas militants armed with AK-47s and dressed in camouflaged military clothing, body armour and combat boots approach the gate which blocks a two-lane road.

Initially, the two fighters are seen trying to find a way through the gate, with one testing to see whether he could fit through the small gap underneath. However, he soon changes his mind, and instead breaks into a small guardhouse which sits to one side of the kibbutz entrance, using his rifle to smash his way inside.

Hamas had control of Be'eri for 17 hours, it is reported today. Haim Jelin, a survivor of the Be'eri attack and a former local politician the militants walked around Be'eri "like they owned the place." Mr Jelin, talking to Army Radio, added: "They shot indiscriminately, abducted whoever they could, burned down people's homes so they'd have to escape through the window, where the terrorists would wait." He described the attack on the village as a "massacre".

The raid on Be'eri only stopped when Israeli security forces and rescue became engaged in a long hostage standoff with gunmen. Now, approximately 900 Israelis to have been killed in Hamas' brutal attacks, which prompted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 73, to declare war against the Palestinian militant group and begin a campaign of crushing air strikes on Gaza.

Netanyahu, who first came to power in Israel in 1996 and has served three separate terms, compared Hamas to the Islamic State group and said Israel planned to deploy "unprecedented force" that would "reverberate for generations".
