Antiques Roadshow viewers were left stunned when an expert unveiled the value of one guest's host of treasures, which she collected from a series of car boot sales.

The guest brought along a collection of different items she had purchased over the years from rummaging around in car boot sales. She said: "Someone had just put it down, the sun was shining and it just came at me."

One of the guest's items was a bracelet that featured a 22-carat golden chain and green stones, which the BBC expert later identified as emeralds. The owner revealed she had purchased it for just three pounds fifty.

Another unexpected item was a 18-carat brooch that the guest only paid two pounds for. The guest's car boot jewellery collection was extensive with other items including a flower brooch with three diamonds surrounded by 18-carat gold and a slightly broken flower brooch, which the guest paid one pound fifty for.
