Worrying details have emerged after a missing woman's car was found abandoned days after she vanished.
Amy Fahlman, 25, was last seen at her home in Calgary, Canada, on September 29. Her car, a 2010 Nissan Murano was discovered by police on Wednesday. They didn't reveal the exact location where it was discovered but police are now appealing for people to submit dash cam footage of her car on the day she disappeared.
According to Miss Fahlman's family, she had gone out for a drive the day she went missing and she never returned home. This behaviour, they said, was out of character.
Friends and family have organized search parties using social media and more than 100 volunteers joined in on Thursday in Waiparous Village. They have been out on dirt bikes and even horses scouring the rough terrain. Her cousin, Trevor Miller, urged people to keep an eye out.
He said: "If you do come out, we really ask you to please keep your eyes open. t's been very helpful, the tremendous support and getting people aware of what they're looking for.”

Police have released these images of identifiable features of her car (City of Calgary)Mr Miller told Calgary news: "What we don't want is people just running around the bush and looking, trying to find signs. We need to do this systematically and we need to do this intelligently. Working with the RCMP and working with the search and rescue teams, we really came up with a plan."
Miss Fahlman has been described as a "bright light" by family members. Laura Fahlman wrote on Facebook : "This is my little cousin Amy. Even as a kid, she was a bright light. Bursting with joy and energy and kindness. It breaks my heart to say this, that she has been missing for one week. We love her so much and have been coordinating, working, and searching to find her day after day."
Police are appealing for footage of her car (City of Calgary)The Calgary Police Service said more information will be shared once they confirm all the details. Anyone who believes they may have any information which could aid officers with their search are urged to get in touch. Miss Fahlman is described as five foot and six inches tall. She is approximately 130 pounds with a slim build, brown eyes and brown hair.
The area has been searched (City of Calgary)An update from police on Saturday asked the public for dashcam footage of Amy's vehicle to help aid the investigation. The statement said: "Investigators are asking for anyone who has dashcam footage of Amy’s silver Nissan Murano in the area of Cochrane travelling on Highway 1A to northbound Highway 40, past Waiparous Village, on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. to contact police.
"Investigators are also interested in dashcam footage of Amy’s vehicle in the Waiparous Village area between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. that same day. A picture of a map of the area and pictures of Amy’s vehicle are available on The City of Calgary’s Newsroom. Amy’s vehicle has already been located, however investigators are releasing images of the vehicle with distinct features to help citizens determine if they have dashcam footage of Amy’s actual vehicle."
People with footage of the vehicle are urged to email [email protected] with their contact information.
