Holly Willoughby has been left "distraught" after being at the centre of an alleged kidnapping plot and it's thought the TV star will remain off our screens for the foreseeable future.
The 42-year-old This Morning presenter pulled out of the ITV show at the last minute on Thursday after police told the bosses of the alleged plot and was replaced by Alison Hammond â who fronted Thursday's daytime show alongside Josie Gibson.
At the time, viewers were unaware why Holly was absent from the programme, with many taking to Twitter to question why Alison had stepped in for the TV star. It's since been reported by the Mirror that a return to This Morning "could not be further from Holly's mind".
A 36-year-old man, now named as ex-Pizza Hut employee Gavin Plumb, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap on Wednesday night as Essex Police released a statement, which read: "A 36 year old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap as part of an ongoing investigation. The arrest was made on Wednesday 4 October. He is currently in custody".
Gavin Plumb, 36, of Potters Field Harlow was later charged, and accused of charges including soliciting to commit murder and incitement to commit kidnap. He has appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today after being held by officers on Wednesday.

Detective Superintendent Rob Kirby, of Essex Police, previously said: "This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working overnight to secure these charges. The safeguarding of any victim is paramount and we will continue to prioritise this and working with the Metropolitan Police Service as the investigation proceeds."
It is not known how police became aware of the alleged kidnap plot â but it has been said that digital devices and a mobile phone were seized.
This Morning star Holly is said to be under "around-the-clock" police guard outside her London home, which she shares with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children.
Suspect Gavin, who is a former Pizza Hut employee who once quit his job due to his weight, has appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today but did not enter a plea.
The case has been referred straight to Chelmsford Crown Court, where Plumb will appear on November 3 for a plea and trial preparation hearing. District Judge Caroline Jackson told Plumb he faces âreally serious allegationsâ and remanded him in custody until his next court appearance.
