A gender reveal seen on TikTok left a mum of three girls in tears after she found out she was due to have another daughter.
Kendra Evens became upset in a viral video when she found out her last planned child was going to be a girl. "When I got pregnant with my fourth baby, I knew it was my last and after already having three amazing daughters, it was only natural that I, of course, wanted a boy," she told People.
"On top of that, all three of my pregnancies with my daughters were all the exact same, but with this last pregnancy everything was so different so in my head I swore it was a boy." The reveal left her crying and her husband having to console her.

'I'll never have a son,' Kendra thought at the time (TikTok/@dailydoseofmygirlgang)"We get a girl?" one of her daughters also moaned. "What? Why do we have to get a girl?"

Kendra, who named her fourth daughter Nellie, added: "All of my emotions immediately hit me, I couldn't help but cry. There was no control of my emotions at that point, especially being pregnant."
She continued: "And all of these thoughts came flooding, thoughts that I'll never have a son, never be able to experience what it's like to have a mother-son bond, to have a 'mama's boy,' or anything like that."

Kendra says that "gender disappointment" is a real thing that parents can feel, but says she will still love her new baby despite the initial letdown. She also said she is excited by the fact her daughters will share a sisterly bond with each other.
"Having daughters has been amazing and has changed me already so much in my life," she said. "My girls are so lucky to have each other and know what it's like to have a sister bond — not everyone gets to experience that."

Little Nellie is well-loved, her mum said (TikTok/@dailydoseofmygirlgang)The loving mum was met with a mixed response to her tears in the video, with some saying they understood why she was upset. "Totally feel you here this is how I felt when I found out I was having another boy," one person said "All I've ever wanted was a girl, loving you, mama."
Others were not quite so understanding. "This is really sad and appalling," an irked person said. "I came from a family of all girls and neither of my parents expressed anything but gratitude for their children."
Little Nellie is now thriving and a delighted Kendra says she is "lucky" to have her.
