Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to make a trip to New York City for Archewell's mental health summit.

The Archewell Foundation's Parents' Summit will focus on addressing the ways social media is affecting young people's mental health. They have invited those parents who lost their children as a result of negative social media usage. This will be the foundation's first ever in-person event, so all eyes will be on the pair as they host it.

Public relations expert Jane Owen believes that this is a great opportunity for them. She told The Mirror: "I’m extremely glad to see that they are stepping up and showing up for this event. Their attendance brings a huge amount of National and International attention to an extremely important cause."

She believes that their appearance at the event will be great for their public image. However, she also warns that it shouldn't all be for a 'positive PR spin.' Jane said: "I hope that no matter what they keep supporting it as much as possible and they attend the next event and then next and not just when an appearance is convenient in other ways."

Nonetheless, mental health is a cause that is well in the spotlight right now, especially for Hollywood elites. Jane said that this event will certainly "help their reputation" as they commit to supporting the causes that they promised. In Hollywood, she said, "that's a huge deal."

She also pointed out that the rise of concern about mental health is a newer type of discussion. Harry and Meghan's willingness to shine a light on it early on could have some benefits. She explained: "Mental Health is a very important cause and I hope they continue to bring their massive following to the table to support it. The destigmatisation of Mental Health is a relatively new charitable concept and their support is game changing. As long as they keep it up."

Their return to New York City comes just five months after their car chase in the city. The pair released a statement at the time claiming they were in a "near catastrophic car chase" while in a yellow cab.
