Victoria Beckham's 'signs of anger' when recalling David affair allegations

The world was brought to a standstill in 2004 when reports surfaced that alleged David Beckham had cheated on his wife Victoria with his PA Rebecca Loos.

The allegations claimed that the affair occurred when David had relocated to Madrid in Spain due to a football transfer and Victoria had stayed behind in the UK with their children. And at the time, apart from strong denials by the former footballer, the couple had remained tight-lipped - until now that is. In David's new Netflix docu-series BECKHAM, both David and Victoria have addressed the allegations and the strain it put on their marriage.

While many have praised Victoria for being candid in the four-part series, body language expert Darren Stanton says that there are still "flashes" of anger within the fashion designer. Speaking to Betfair Bingo Darren said: "Victoria spoke quite heavily about being portrayed badly following David’s move to Spain. When she's speaking, she flashes signs of anger and frustration in her facial expressions. She also spreads her fingers out when she's speaking, which is her saying, 'I'm more powerful."

He added: "When people believe they have the upper hand, they will spread out and take up as much space as possible, which is what Victoria has done. However, we saw David almost in a foetal position as he pulled his knees up towards his chest, which showed he was being submissive in that situation.”

Speaking about the challenging time he was forced to endure following the allegations, David revealed in his documentary: "There were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage." David has always claimed that the allegations are "ludicrous."

Although Victoria isn't overtly dominant, Darren says that the former Spice Girl is definately the one in control within their relationship. He said: "It's clear David and Victoria love each other a lot. I can tell Victoria is the most dominant between her and David. She comes across as the one in control in terms of her hand gestures on camera. I think Victoria has helped David's confidence grow, she's brought this confident side out of him, and their love has gone from strength to strength."

And at the premiere for his Netflix show BECKHAM, Darren also recognised that David allowed Victoria to take the lead. He continued: "I can tell David let Victoria lead the way on the night, as that seems to be the way they do things in public. Victoria was the centre of a lot of the pictures on the night, while David was happy to be there by her side. At one point, the pair were seen hugging, which was genuine and had a lot of true emotion. I didn't see any fake smiles and that shows they were both feeling excitement, as well as pride for how far they've come.”
