Prince William's schedule often sees him have busy days travelling the length of the country as part of his royal duties. Now he is the heir to the throne and the Prince of Wales, he is facing an increased workload of public engagements as well as behind-closed-doors meetings. His diary often mirrors that of his father King Charles, who is known to pack in visitings and other important business.
And it's not just a busy schedule that William had inherited from his father, it also seems he has also adopted his strict eating habit - and both men religiously stick to it when out and about.

In the past he has been seen sampling a taste of a local delicacy or sweet treat - but apart from that, he shuns food - the same as Charles, who famously never stops for lunch. It's unknown exactly why William has adopted this habit - but it seems that one thing he doesn't mind doing at all on engagements is giving out hugs. Both he and wife Kate dished out cuddles yesterday during a visit to Cardiff to mark the start of Black History Month.
William and Kate were both embraced as they made the trip to Wales to meet members of Windrush Cymru Elders and other groups to hear about the contribution the generation has had on the community.
The heir to the throne was asked earlier this year by Professor Uzo Iwobi, founder and chief executive of Race Council Cymru, to travel to Wales and pay tribute to the men and women who travelled to Britain on the HMT Empire Windrush 75 years ago.

William appears to have inherited the habit from King Charles (Getty Images)As they arrived at the Grange Pavillion in Wales, the couple received a rapturous reception, with many keen to embrace the royal couple. To remember the poignant visit, William and Kate posed for a group photo with those gathered. And as they all smiled for the camera, William prompted gales of laughter when he joked: "Who is pinching my bottom?" Meanwhile, earlier, he also cracked another joke as he gave one woman a hug - even longer than she expected - and said: "I draw the line at kissing!"
As he chatted to Roma Taylor, 79, the founder of Windrush Cymru Elders, she became the first of a long line of women to demand a hug from the prince, 41. "It was a long one!" she laughed afterwards.
Once he got to the other side of the room, the hugging continued. First up was Karen Lucock, 65, She said: "I said, 'Please can I have a hug?' He said, 'Yes you can.' I was surprised because he hugged me for quite a while. I am in a bit of shock!" As he went, he looked behind him and said to the rest of the room: "No kissing! I draw the line at kissing!"
