Baldur's Gate 3 receives several more slight changes courtesy of its latest update, which most importantly gives one of the game's most iconic NPCs their old appearance back.
You know developer Larian is committed to making the already exceptional Baldur’s Gate 3 even better when it’s releasing its eighth hotfix. Because while Patch 3 recently rolled out to address performance issues on both PC and PlayStation after a brief delay, the studio continues to listen to community feedback in order to squash those pesky bugs and glitches. After all, there’s bound to be a lot of them in an RPG of this scale.
The latest Baldur’s Gate 3 update, as detailed on the game’s event page on Steam, is a hotfix primarily targeted at addressing feedback reported by players. The headline change comes in how companions will no longer bombard you with what they deem to be important items from their inventory whenever you dismiss them. “Weighing you down physically” won’t be an issue going forward, as detailed in the patch notes.
Then there’s the general gamut of bug fixes expected from a Baldur’s Gate 3 update such as this, which in this instance covers everything from resolving invalid game saves, skeleton enemies spawning with no ranged weapons, and Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch drops not being claimable in the PS5 version. Fans of His Majesty – the cat NPC located in the Last Light Inn – will be please to know that he's back to sporting his old look, once again flaunting the same shaved look he did prior to Patch 3 rolling out.

The effects of Baldur's Gate 3 Hotfix #8 can be felt immediately for PC and PlayStation players who update their game upon launch. Here's hoping that His Majesty's returning baldness will stick around for good this time.
