Amazon's own tech devices are highly sought after thanks to its wave of smart capabilities, whether it's turning on your TV, asking Alexa to order your next food shop, or simply sitting back and listening to music. Whilst the Echo Dot is one of the most well-known there's another home gadget that may be worth adding to your list, the Ring Doorbell.
As Amazon's range of home security, ring doorbells allow users to see a live feed of what's happening exactly outside their front door and any motion or noise will immediately be pinged through to users' phones. Those with an Alexa device dotted around the house will get instant pings no matter where they are in the house.
If you had an Echo Show 8, for example, you could say 'Alexa, who's at the front door' and see a live image of the postman or delivery driver. Echo Dot and Pop owners will get an instant ping (from Alexa) to let them know someone's knocking and can even speak to visitors at their door if not home.
Once set up these tiny devices can make any home feel super high-tech, but how easy is it to set up? Here's how to connect a device to the Alexa app, or any Alexa-assisted device you have at home.
The Amazon doorbell can transform a home into a smart home and it starts with the Alexa app.
Amazon is selling 32 packs of Walkers ready salted crisps for just £10
Users can disable the Alexa pairing at any time, simply head back into the app, tap 'devices' and then 'all devices' and scroll down to disable. It really is that simple.
Like Amazon's host of other own tech products there are a few different ranges of doorbell shoppers can choose from, the Ring Doorbell Cam, the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 the Ring Floodlight Cam or the simple Ring Video Doorbell Wired.
To make your decision a bit easier Amazon has dropped the prices of these models:
All of which offer slightly different features, like spotlights for that added piece of security or 3D motion detection sensor. Nonetheless even the cheapest Wired Ring Doorbell is backed by shoppers, including our reviewer Gareth Butterfield.
Comparing the Ring Doorbell to competitor Eufy, Gareth said: "It's not attractive, it's not cheap, it doesn't have the best lens on the market and battery life could be better, but it's incredibly reliable, it works very well with Alexa systems and there's a really good support network out there.
"So it is the obvious choice, and I don't believe it's the best choice, but you won't regret buying a Ring Doorbell, they're great bits of kit."
Gareth reviewed several doorbells and chose the Eufy's S330 as his favourite thanks to its "genius" twin-camera setup.
