Francis Ngannou sends chilling Tyson Fury warning as Oleksandr Usyk fight signed

Francis Ngannou has warned Tyson Fury that he will be unable to fight Oleksandr Usyk in the pair's undisputed world heavyweight title fight due to a medical suspension.

The UFC heavyweight champion will make his boxing debut against Fury in Saudi Arabia later this month, but is already seemingly being overlooked as Fury announced he has signed to face Usyk. A date as early as December 23 has been touted - less than two months after the Ngannou fight.

But the MMA star has warned that he will be leaving Fury in such a state that he won't be medically cleared to fight Usyk any time soon after the pair meet. The Brit is a massive favourite against his cage fighting rival due to being a career boxer, but Ngannou has unbelievable punching power and is capable of landing an unthinkable upset.

"I don't know what's the minimum medical suspension in boxing," Ngannou wrote in a tweet after the Usyk fight was announced last week. "But I really don't understand how Tyson can fight in December after what's going to happen on October 28."

Fury and Usyk both released a tentative fight poster for their clash, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to close out Riyadh Season The Brit will open the festivities with his fight against Ngannou, and it is believed that the fight will take place sometime between December and the end of February.

Neither man gave a comment in the official press release launching the event, but Fury's UK promoter Frank Warren was quoted as saying: “Delighted to finally get this fight signed. This is the biggest fight that could possibly be made in our sport. The heavyweights always spark the imagination of the fans, and I have no doubt this will be the biggest boxing event of the century. I look forward to Tyson reclaiming the three belts that he never lost in the ring. Huge thanks to His Excellency and the GEA.”

Usyk's promoter Alexander Krassyuk was also quoted, adding: “I can’t believe that it’s happening but it is. Difficult to express my admiration for being part of the biggest heavyweight fight of the century. Gratitude to the KSA and his excellency Turki Al-Sheikh for making it happen, respect to Tyson for his courage and thank the Lord for all he gives us.”
