Coleen Nolan admits sister Linda is 'struggling to walk' in health update

Coleen Nolan opened up on her sister Linda's health, as the Nolan Sisters star is currently receiving treatment for brain cancer, with the Loose Women presenter admitting her sister is "struggling" with her mobility.

The singer and presenter told Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls how brave and "incredible" Linda is as she continues to live with the awful disease. "Linda is just a machine," the TV star said. "She's unbelievable, you know. Cancer just hits her again and again and again and she just keeps going. And she's incredible because she'll say, 'I can't meet you all today for lunch because I've had chemo, I'm not feeling great.'

"And then the next day [she says] 'Right, where are we going?' It's hard for her. She's struggling to walk now, but she just gets on with it every day." Susanna interjected: "Your family has been so ravaged by cancer and of course, you lost Bernie [Nolan] to cancer, was there a point at which you thought to yourself, 'Do I have this in my genetics? Do I need to take further action?'

"I know that you had a skin cancer scare, haven't you? A basal cell carcinoma, and I know that left you feeling a bit guilty because as cancer's go it was a kind of treatable one - it's all frightening, isn't it?"

"It is frightening," Coleen confirmed, "Especially when you think they're going to say it's eczema and they go, 'No, it's carcinoma, you think, 'Woah.' It's all scary and of course, I think about it all the time, but I'm very vigilant with it and if I'm ever unsure about anything I go straight away because that's the whole point of it - go straight away.

"That's what The Real Full Monty is about, to raise awareness, to check yourself and if you're worried, go [to the doctors]. Nine times out of 10 it's nothing, but if it is and you've caught it early the chances are amazing. Linda's [had cancer] for 15 years, she's incredible and Anne survived it, my eldest sister."

Linda was told earlier this year that her cancer had spread to her brain after doctors found tumours earlier this year. Bernie sadly passed away in 2013 after being diagnosed with breast cancer while Anne celebrated being cancer-free for three years in August.
