A popular trampoline park has been gutted after a major fire tore through it last night.

Fire crews have been dealing with a huge fire in Swansea that appeared to start on Sunday night (October 1). Footage shared on social media shows huge flames at a unit on an industrial estate near the city's Fabian Way.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it used five appliances, two ladders and a bowser during their four-and-a-half hour operation at the trampoline park. They left at 02.30am this morning and noone was injured, the fire service confirmed.

A statement on the trampoline park's Facebook page says: "We are heartbroken. We will be closed until further notice because of a fire. We will be in touch with all future bookings when we can but please bear with us." Locals have taken to social media to share messages of support. One post read: "Great place that my daughter loves. Hopefully you can rebuild bigger and better."

Another added: "Omg awful hope everyone is safe... you will rebuild bigger and better." Laura Macnamara said that she was "gutted" for the owners, adding that her "son loves coming here". According to Wales Online, the trampoline park is one of Swansea's largest indoor attractions. The team said they plan to contact clients about their future bookings.

A spokesman for the Mid and West Fire Service said: "At 9.46pm on Sunday, October 1st, the Swansea Central, Swansea West, Morriston, Port Talbot, Neath and Tumble crews were called to an incident on Langdon Road, Swansea. Crews attended a single-storey industrial unit measuring 25m x 150m, used as an indoor trampoline park which was well alight.

"Rapid fire spread occurred which broke through the roof of the building. Crews sectorised the incident and utilised two aerial appliances as water towers, two water bowsers, one high volume pumping unit, two breathing apparatus sets, six thermal imaging cameras and three main jets to extinguish the fire.

"Crews were assisted by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and utilised Cardiff Central Fire Station’s aerial appliance and Kenfig Hill Fire Station’s water bowser. South Wales Police, the Ambulance Service and National Grid were also in attendance. Crews left the scene 2.16am on Monday, October 2nd."
