Piers Morgan has taken a swipe at Erik ten Hag on social media in the wake of Manchester United 's chastening 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
United have now lost four of their opening seven Premier League games for the first time in their history after falling short against the Eagles at Old Trafford. Palace defender Joachim Anderson sealed the points for the visitors with a fine curling finish midway through the first half.
The Red Devils tried to muster up a response after the break but where thwarted by Sam Johnstone in the Crystal Palace goal. And in the wake of another disappointing result for Ten Hag, Morgan was quick to rub salt into the Dutchman's wounds.
In a social media post, Morgan shared a snap of him smiling alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, who quit Manchester United after publicly slamming Ten Hag on Morgan's show. The talk show host cheekily accompanied the picture with a message saying: "Hi Erik," complete with a waving emoji.
Morgan has not been shy in criticising Ten Hag since his fallout with Ronaldo. In another post on Twitter, Morgan shared a picture of Ten Hag and Ronaldo with the message: "REMINDER: One of these men was driven out of United because he was deemed ‘the problem’ at the club. Painfully obvious who the real problem was/is.. (Clue: it wasn’t @Cristiano)".

He also hit out at Ten Hag earlier in the week ahead of United's 3-0 win against Palace in the Carabao Cup. After Mirror Football revealed Ten Hag had banished Jadon Sancho from all first-team facilities, Morgan posted: "Ten Hag loves to humiliate his players.. whilst his own managerial failings continue to humiliate United."

Ten Hag was forced to dust himself down after the match, and he took aim at his team's "poor" decision-making. He told Sky Sports: "It's quite simple. We conceded only three chances over the whole game - all three from set-plays. Then I think we got in good positions and then made poor decisions.
"We got into good positions and we had free players. We didn't have an impact. The quality was just not good enough in that part of the game. The final part of the game we didn't play our best game.
"Of course it is frustrating. We were also many times close. You have to be sharp and clinical. It's about decision making. We can't change this result anymore. You always learn from the game and learn to do better from the final part of the game."
