The Princess of Wales has been praised by fans for her latest chic up-do, with fans quick to comment on how beautiful her brunette locks look tied up and off of her face. But with Kate stepping out and receiving gushing comments, some fans have been quick to point out the "double standards".
It has long been claimed that Suits actress Meghan's famous messy bun "broke Royal protocol", and now some fans are up in arms after Kate donned a similar look recently but wasn't called out for it. While at an engagement in Sittingbourne, England on Wednesday, Kate sported a low bun, which was very similar to a hairstyle Meghan wore and received backlash for six years ago.

Meghan seemed to receive hate for her hair-do, while Kate has been praised. Taking to Twitter one person penned: "Now Kate Middleton can have the same Bun hair style that Meghan was breaking protocol when she was there?"
Someone else added: "When Meghan wore her hair, she broke royal protocol. But when Kate copies the same, it’s fashionable." While a third wrote: "The 'messy bun' is a loosely made bun hairstyle where hair carefully frames the face. It had been described as a breach of royal protocol when Meghan wore it. However, Kate's extremely similar bun is described as 'elegant'."

In a video montage, Amanda shared screenshots of various articles posted online that claimed the Duchess of Sussex "broke Royal protocol" by wearing her hair in a bun. The articles stated that members of the British Royal Family tend to opt for their hair to be sleek and smooth with no hair poking out from a bun or hair framing the face.
Sharing the montage, which contrasted the negative Meghan headlines with the positive headlines about Kate's hairstyle, Amanda penned a caption that read: "Spot the difference. As always, it’s not about someone ‘owning’ a style - it’s the double standards that are the issue."
"This would actually be so hilarious if it wasn’t so infuriating," penned one of Amanda's followers. While another touched on the other double standards, writing: "They hated on her for eating AVOCADOS."
