Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse has hit out at claims made by her ex-husband's lawyer. In a statement to the Mirror, the pro dancer's spokesperson released a statement insisting that "no such written court order exists" that could see her either jailed or fined £250,000 if she ever repeats claims in her book that he controlled her.
Timo Kulczak launched legal action against the professional dancer earlier this year, suing her for £70,000 after she called him 'controlling' and made a series of damning allegations in her autobiography.
The case is allegedly set to go to court after Timo's lawyer claimed that Motsi refused to settle the writ. According to The Sun, Timo's lawyer called for the court to threaten a penalty if she repeats the claims and wants her to "retract the untruths published about him".
In response, Motsi's rep said in a statement: "No such written court order exists - it is categorically untrue that our client faces imprisonment with regards to her former husband’s civil lawsuit, or that a fine, which would only be payable if our client culpably violates a court order, would be more than a nominal amount. There is no legal basis for this lawsuit. To reiterate, our client reserves all rights in this matter."
It comes after The Sun reported that Timo's lawyer Samy Hammad said: “Ms Mabuse is refusing to pay, and so the court now has to decide. All we just want her to do is to retract the untruths published about him, and to compensate him accordingly. My client’s reputation has repeatedly been trashed. You have to threaten a penalty saying if you do it again, this is what I want in terms of money, or in terms of the prison sentence.”

Among the claims in her 2022 memoir Finding My Own Rhythm, she suggests 45-year-old Timo stopped her having a baby. Motsi, 42, also said that during their 11-year marriage, Timo paid her an allowance from the money she earned for her TV appearances and teaching. She also alleged that he refused to let her open her own dance school.
In the writ, seen by The Sun, Motsi is told she must stop “implying that the plaintiff made the defendant suffer during their marriage”. It is also demanded that she says “publicly the statements published in the book and cited press reports are untrue”.
According to sources speaking to the publication, Motsi can't ignore the lawsuit, filed at Offenburg regional court in Germany, as she is a German citizen. A default judgement could be made if she doesn't respond by the given deadline.
Motsi and Timo divorced in 2014 after meeting at a dance tournament. She is now wed to dance partner Evgenij Vozynuk, who she has a daughter with. The couple also run a dance school together in Germany.
The Mirror has reached out to Timo's reps for comment.
