Victoria Beckham dropped pregnancy news night before David's red card moment
Victoria Beckham revealed she dropped the news of her pregnancy to David the night before his infamous red card moment in 1998.
Before David and the England team played against Argentina at the 1998 World Cup, Posh Spice told him she was pregnant with their eldest son, Brooklyn. During the unforgettable football game, David received a red card which led to England losing on penalties.
In a new Netflix documentary, Victoria discussed the eve of the match and recalled the moment she called David to reveal the news they were expecting a child. She made the call while she was in Brooklyn, New York, cementing the name of their child - who is now married to Nicola Peltz.

Speaking to the camera, she said: "I told David the night before the game. He was so, so happy, we both were and there was never any doubt in my mind that I should tell him. I mean, it was what we wanted and he could not have been happier.”
Director Fisher Stevens asked her: "So you tell him right before the biggest game of his life — did you think it would help him?" She responded honestly: "I don't really know." David then said: "Before the Argentina game, she phoned me and said I’ve just taken a test and I’m pregnant. So I found out then.
