There are some things we tend to be quite loyal to, our perfumes, our coffee orders and what our favourite foods are. But is it possible that there's a link between them all?
Here at the Mirror it's something we've been debating lately. I am a firm believer that you can get a solid booze recommendation based on your coffee order as it's normally a pretty solid indicator of your tolerance for bitter flavours and how much of a punch you want your drink to pack.
Whether you're a creamy cappuccino person, like a seasonal syrup or you waste no time with straight espresso, we've got something that you might like. Please remember to drink responsibly.
Espresso can be bitter (Getty Images)If your go to drink is simply a shot of espresso then the odds are that you actually enjoy the taste of coffee but you also enjoy a level of efficiency. You're probably not afraid of a touch of bitterness in your drinks and are a fan of bold flavours.
For the espresso drinker I would recommend Mr Black Double Cacao Whisky & Coffee Liqueur. It's got an ABV of 23% and is made using Arabica coffee beans from Papua New Guinea, Kenya and El Salvador. The flavour is undeniably robust and it's bold and bitter with a slight touch of vanilla and dark chocolate to soften it slightly.

This is great in shots or to nurse in a short glass, and wouldn't be amiss in an espresso martini either. You can get it for £35 a bottle.
Americanos are a slightly longer drink (EyeEm)Americanos are a longer drink made up of espresso and hot water, although some people choose to add milk. This is the drink for someone who appreciates coffee and wants to savour it properly rather than finishing it in one sip.
For fans of this I'd recommend Kahlua which many know as the classic coffee liqueur. If you've ever had a coffee-based cocktail you've probably tried this as it's a key ingredient in most, including the espresso martini.
This has a vanilla and coffee flavour and a warmth that lingers in your mouth. Despite that, it's not overly sweet - it works great in classic shots and cocktails and if you like coffee you're likely to reorder this one time and time again. At the time of writing it was £13 on Amazon.
The drink is always super popular during the autumn months (Getty Images/iStockphoto)September is Pumpkin Spice season and it can certainly split a crowd, it's creamy and spicy and bright orange. Despite what some people may think, it doesn't actually taste like pumpkins but is a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger - so if you like gingerbread or cinnamon rolls then this is a pretty solid choice.
If this is your coffee order then there's one drink that we absolutely must recommend: Mozart Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Cream Liqueur. The brand is known for its chocolate cream liqueurs and they don't turn their nose up at seasonal specials.
Since this is a white chocolate pumpkin spice liqueur it's somewhat similar to the Secret Menu Cinderella Latte that goes viral every year. It's sweet and creamy and really doesn't shy away from the spices - if you like something sweet I'd recommend this. It's £14 at the minute on Amazon.
Cappuccinos are creamy (Getty Images)Cappuccinos are the fluffier older sister to a latte, they're mostly the same but airier with a lot of foam and often a sprinkle of cocoa powder across the top. The milk mellows out the taste of coffee with it still being present which is why we think fans of this coffee would like the Christmas classic Baileys.
Our Baileys expert and Secret Elf Narin Flanders said: "I love Baileys because it feels comforting but has a warmth to it from the alcohol at the end. Whiskey and other spirits are too harsh for me, I love the smoothness of Baileys and how mellow it tastes despite still having a noticeable alcohol kick."
Narin couldn't have put it better, it's smooth and mellow but still gives you the kick you're looking for like a cappuccino. It's often on offer close to Christmas, the Irish whiskey based cream liqueur typically retails at £16.50.

Some coffee options are full of sugar (Getty)Mocha lovers tend to have a sweet tooth and an itching for chocolate - as a result I think sugarcane based rum is a great option. But there's one that's an even better match - Project #173's Chocolate Rum is smooth and sweet with a little kick to remind you it's booze.
I think this is quite similar to a mocha which is creamy, chocolatey and sweet before giving you the kick from the coffee. There's a range of different flavours in the Project #173 range and we're huge fans here at the Mirror, one of them even holds our number one spot.
Project #173 Chocolate Rum retails at £19.95 for a 50cl bottle and with an ABV of 42% it certainly packs a punch.
