Liverpool new boy details crucial change Jurgen Klopp wants to drill into him
Ryan Gravenberch has admitted he still has much to learn about Liverpool's style of play.
The midfielder joined the Reds from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, completing his move on deadline day. That meant the Netherlands international missed out on a full pre-season getting to grips with Jurgen Klopp's tactics.
As a result, he has been restricted to just 14 minutes of Premier League action so far this term. He has impressed in his only two starts though, against LASK in the Europa League and against Leicester in the Carabao Cup.
Gravenberch notched an assist in both games, both of which Liverpool went on to win. But he has admitted that he still needs help from Klopp and assistant boss Pep Ljinders on the training ground.
“Everything goes well. I am very happy to be here and it’s now a month already, so it feels great. I am very happy to be here. If I am honest, the team is very good with each other and they give me a warm welcome," Gravenberch told Liverpool's club website.

"When I need something I can ask them and they will help me with it. Of course, I have to learn a little bit the system from the coach [and] what he wants from me, but when I look to the games that I played I think it goes well and we can grow on that.”
“That [general work] also and I think with the coaches, [they are] working with me on counter-pressing,” the No.38 replied, when asked about his daily agenda. "I think counter-pressing is the thing that he [the manager] wants to put inside of me.

Gravenberch will hope for an increased role when Liverpool return to Premier League action against Tottenham on Saturday. And based off his performance against LASK, Klopp is a huge fan of the midfielder.
“He did really well. For a long time, he was the best player on the pitch, for sure. But in the first half, the frustration [from Liverpool players grew] and you saw him getting lost a little bit as well. That’s normal, these things happen,” Klopp told TNT Sports after that game,
“He stayed in the game as long as he could. Really good moments, very good moments, set up a goal for Lucho [Luis Diaz]. For not knowing a lot about his team-mates, he looked pretty in-tune.
“In the first half, obviously we struggled with different things. The opponent had one shot on target and it was in, off a set piece. It’s not like they created chance after chance, but they caused us problems with the long balls and second-ball approach, that was clear from the beginning.
"I saw enough positive stuff [in the] first half to show the boys that if we do that, if we get rid of the frustration I saw in the first half, then we have a very good chance of turning it around. So I’m really pleased. It’s an away win and I’m happy.”
