New accounts filed for Coldplay's tour show they netted £89,000 per day in live performance earnings last year.
The financial results filed to Companies house show Coldplay, including frontman Chris Martin, had £113.7 million in box office takings for Flock of Birds Touring. This led to profits of £89,000 a day from their global Music of the Spheres Tour which has been a huge hit.
Overall, Flock of Birds Touring reported a £32.6 million profit for 2022. The Income comprised: £72.2 million from Europe, £5.7 million from Asia, £24.9 million from South America and £10.8 Million from North America. After expenses, they retained a £32.6 million profit.
The report states: “The principal activity of the limited liability partnership continued to be that of the production of live music throughout the world, excluding North America, and worldwide merchandising." The four band members shared £26.5 million in pay – their income reported in the small print as ‘drawings.’

Figures for 2016 reported £62.8 million in turnover and 2017 reported £63.6 million. Before running their live performance fees through Flock Of Birds Coldplay channelled their earnings into Headlong Tours Limited.
More than £80 million in visible income went their way via this firm. Coldplay set up Infinity Station Films last year leading to speculation they might make a pop biopic. Back in March, Chris Martin said he needs a team of physios to help stay in shape on tour. He said: "When you're playing stadiums, it's like preparing for a big soccer game - you know you're going to get some muscle issues...
"I'm getting older so it's the same thing you would imagine a retired footballer would do if you said you have to play this afternoon - a lot of creaking and stretching and asking people to manipulate this and loosen that."
The band - Chris, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion - began the Music of The Spheres tour in March 2022 and it will continue until September 2024. It marked their return to playing live after the covid pandemic.
