Kate Middleton has feelings of "competition or resentment" towards Meghan Markle, according to a relationship expert.
The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex are thought to have a strained relationship, with their husbands Prince William and Prince Harry also at loggerheads in the family feud. Now, relationship expert Louella Alderson exclusively told The Mirror who she can see there are "clearly unresolved issues" between Kate and Meghan.
Louella added: "It’s certainly possible that Kate may have been feeling uncomfortable or unhappy about the positive attention that Harry and Meghan were receiving during the Invictus Games. This could indicate underlying feelings of competition or resentment on Kate's part towards Meghan.
"Since Meghan and Harry's relationship started, there have been several reports of tension between her and Kate. These tensions have likely only grown between the two since Meghan and Harry's departure from the Royal Family and their subsequent media interviews where they have made controversial statements."

"But underlying feelings don’t always match appearances. Meghan and Kate have been played against each other in the media, with constant comparisons being made between them. This could have added pressure and tension to their relationship, especially if either of them has a competitive side. It could also be that Kate views Meghan as a threat to the royal family's reputation and traditions. It seems that she has strong values and it's possible that Meghan's behaviour and choices don't align with Kate's beliefs.
"Kate always maintains a dignified silence around any controversies," Louella said, "but it’s likely hard for her to maintain this level of composure all the time. Biting your tongue, especially when constantly under scrutiny, can create a build-up of emotions that may eventually erupt. It's possible that this is what happened during the bridesmaid’s dress fitting before Meghan and Harry’s wedding."

As brothers, she thinks it's possible they will eventually find a way to reconcile and move past their trying issues with one another. Doing so could open the door for some sort of reunion between Kate and Meghan as well, Louella believes.
However, it's thought that Meghan and Kate weren't particularly close friends before, so it would remain doubtful that they will become close in the future. "At most, they may be able to maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of their husbands and children, but it's unlikely we will see them becoming best friends anytime soon," Louella said.
"Ultimately, Meghan and Kate will probably take their husbands' lead when it comes to reconciling, and if the brothers are able to work things out, then there may be a chance for the two women to do so as well. However, it's important to remember that their relationship is complex and layered, and there may never be a complete resolution. Once trust is broken in this way, it can be difficult to repair."
