Stacey Solomon has hit back after being cruelly mum-shamed over what she feeds her kids.

The 33-year-old, who is mum to Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, who she has from previous relationships as well as son Rex, four, Rose, 23 months, and baby Belle, six months, who she shares with husband Joe Swash.

Stacey regularly shares snippets of her life on Instagram, and in a recent video on her Instagram Stories, she filmed a sweet montage of her kids Rex and Rose helping her prepare dinner. “We picked all of Rexy’s tomatoes in the greenhouse and Rexy said we need to make a tomato soup for dinner tonight before they go to bed,” she wrote atop a snap of Rose clutching a bowl of home grown tomatoes from the garden at Pickle Cottage.

Her daughter was seen carefully picking tomatoes from the huge plants in the greenhouse, and the clip showed Stacey preparing the delicious looking soup, as she roasted the tomatoes in the oven along with garlic and onions, and a drizzle of olive oil.

She then blitzed the roasted veg in a blender, and served it up for her kids as a quick and easy supper. However, Stacey revealed that she had been targeted by mean trolls, who took offence to her tomato soup she made from scratch. “So you fed your kid a bowl of tomato soup for dinner? Wow,” the sarcastic comment from her less than impressed follower read.

Stacey hit back at the mean message, and confessed she was no longer bothered by the negativity she regularly receives from online trolls. “Sometimes my messages at night really bring me joy. Don’t worry Wilma, I didn’t give my kids just a ladle of soup each and then send them up to bed,” she laughed. “That was just a starter and then we had dinner after – they were Rex’s tomatoes so we were really excited about them. We had a really nice Hello Fresh after, Joe made us dinner, we had loaded wedges and I filmed the before and after, so we had Hello Fresh and a ladle of soup so don’t panic.”

The Loose Women star then shared a clip of the dinner she prepared using the Hello Fresh meal kits, and poked fun at the hard-hearted trolls who had messaged her.

“In all honesty Rose and Belle just had my soup Wilma, they were more than happy…” she said, as she called the follower “weird” and admitted she would “100% have just a bowl of soup for dinner”. It’s not the first time she’s faced criticism from followers on social media, as she was accused of “selling out” when she shared a clip on social media of her working out in her home gym.

Running on her treadmill, one furious fan told her: “I'm presuming you're going to do a keep fit video. I thought you keep it real,” promoting Stacey to fire back: “You presume wrong Linda. I just want to be strong. I deserve that!”
