Married at First Sight UK viewers have spotted a familiar face on this year's series - and they're not too happy it.

Mark Kiely is one of the newest contestants to appear on the popular E4 reality show, which sees relationship experts match 'compatible' couples on blind weddings in a fascinating social experiment.

The 36-year-old believes that he'll make the "perfect husband", adding that he's "loving" and "giving" just like a "loyal dog." Mark was refreshingly open about his flaws too, confessing that he has a penchant for shopping and would leave his potential husband for rapper Drake if the opportunity ever came along. He has now been single for 10 years and is determined to find 'Mr Right' on the show.

Fans of MAFS were quick to recognize Mark from another dating show, with many taking to the Internet to point out where they'd seen him before. The customer service manager appeared on First Dates in 2017, in which he was paired with Junior for Watford. Despite seemingly getting on during their dinner and even sharing a cheeky kiss on the way home, Mark later revealed on Twitter that they ultimately "went separate ways."

A number of MAFS have expressed annoyance over Mark's second round at reality TV, with some questioning if he's on the show to find the 'One' or simply to achieve celebrity status.

"Another one on it just for fame," one unimpressed viewer wrote, while another commented, "Someone else who has been on TV before then? Just instils the feeling that fame is the overwhelming desire, not love."

One particularly frustrated fan called out the MAFS producers for their casting, writing, "Everyone already been on a tv dating show? Language of love or first dates …. Can’t this show find its own contestants?"

Not everyone was unhappy to see the bubbly Mark back on telly though. Several people welcomed his return to our screens, voicing their support for him as he embarks on the pursuit of finding the perfect match.

"Mark is such a beautiful human! I hope he finds true love. He really deserves it!" one person wrote, while another gushed, "Oh my goodness how sweet is this guy."

Mark has been through a lot since his appearance on First Dates, having lost over five stone since his episode aired six years ago. The sweet singledom embarked on a wellness journey during lockdown, hitting the gym and changing his diet in a bid to get healthy and shed the pounds.

"When people used to talk about the gym and how, good they felt I used to think they were mad. But I started to get the “high” after exercising and it helped me with my anxiety," he revealed, adding that he'd cut his takeaway orders down to one per week after years of binging on booze and Chinese food.
