Seven-time Super Bowl champion and retired NFL legend Tom Brady has revealed that he has lost an astonishing 10lbs since walking away from American football.
The 46-year-old retired for a second time earlier this year following a third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady, a five-time Super Bowl, and three-time NFL MVP, has been spending more time with his young family following his divorce from his longtime partner, Gisele Bundchen.
He has also been building his business portfolio, buying minority stakes in the Las Vegas Raiders, and Championship outfit Birmingham City, while also gearing up for his ten-year NFL analyst role on Fox Sports, which starts next season.
A second retirement u-turn has been highly speculated despite Brady publicly shutting down a return to the NFL several times. But one of Brady's most shocking revelations since leaving the gridiron was his weight loss.
Brady revealed that he has lost a shocking 10lbs in retirement. He has, however, said that retirement has reduced his stress levels. Responding to Larry Fitzgerald, who remarked to him that he looked "lighter", Brady said on his Let's Go! podcast: "Yeah, I'm down about 10 lbs., but I'm actually very fit right now.

"I haven't had the stress that I had while I was playing so that's allowed me to focus a little bit more on my physical health. But I think it's important for everyone. Physical and mental health is so important to all of us. Without that, what do we really have?
"You could prioritise a lot of other things — career, kids, relationships, family, greater good, community. But at the end of the day, physical and mental health should sit at the top of the pyramid because if we don't have that, we have nothing.”

The legendary QB has shed 10lbs (Getty)Brady did watch an NFL game this season from his old stomping ground, Foxborough, being honoured by the New England Patriots, where he spent 20 seasons, winning six Super Bowls. However, Brady had to watch on as his old team fell to a Week 1 defeat to Super Bowl runners-up, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Week 2 wasn't any better for the Patriots either, as they lost 24-17 to the high-scoring Miami Dolphins. They did, however, get their first win of the 2023 season in Week 3, beating the New York Jets 15-10, with the Robert Saleh-led franchise without Aaron Rodgers.
Up next for the Patriots are the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, who are having a somewhat turbulent season of their own following a defeat to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.
