Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has responded to the admission quarterback Patrick Mahomes made about Taylor Swift being there at Arrowhead Stadium over the weekend.
After Mahomes found Kelce for a touchdown during Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears, he admitted afterwards that he felt under pressure with Swift watching on up in the stands. “Yeah, I heard she was in the house; I felt a little bit of pressure, and so I knew I had to get it to Trav,” Mahomes told FOX on the field after the game.
“And, of course, it’s on a route that Travis does his own thing and just makes up a route, and I throw it to him. I think he wanted to get in [the] endzone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.” Kelce has now responded for the first time.
"Yeah, Pat telling everyone I never run the route called and that he gave me a touchdown for all the Swifties watching," Kelce said on the New Heights podcast he co-hosts with his elder brother and Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason. "Thanks, Pat... for giving me a platform."
Kelce also addressed Swift attending Arrowhead to watch him play over the weekend. The two-time Super Bowl champion gives the singer-songwriter credit for being brave enough for being there.

“Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up,” he said. “That was pretty ballsy.
“I just thought it was awesome that everybody in the suite had nothing but good things to say about her, the friends and family. She looked amazing; everybody was talking about her in great light, and on top of that, the day went perfectly for the Chiefs [they won the game 41-10].”
Kelce was all smiles while speaking about Taylor Swift on the podcast (Twitter)“The slow-motion chest bumps, the high-fives with mom, it was definitely a game I will remember, that’s for damn sure,” Kelce continued. “Then we just slid off in the getaway car at the end… Shoutout to Taylor for coming through and watching me rock the stage.”
He later admitted that his association with Swift has already changed his day-to-day life. "My personal life is not-so-personal. I did this to myself, Jason; I know this," he told his brother. "I'm on a rollercoaster, man, the rollercoaster of life.
"I've noticed a few things for sure. Paparazzi outside my house and s*** like that, sure. They've got a camera in their hands, screaming my name. That's how I know they're paparazzi. Sounds like the Swifties are also a part of Chiefs kingdom."

Kelce also addressed the differences in how visible they each are in the media. “She’s not in the media as much as I am.
Addressing his brother, he added: "As you said on that Thursday night game, I’m enjoying life, and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend.
“So everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports and saying, 'all right,' now will have to be kind of where I keep it.”
