Rylan Clark 'doesn't feel safe' after terrifying discovery at his Essex mansion
Rylan Clark joked he “doesn't feel safe” after discovering a terrifying snake infestation at his Essex mansion.
Last year, the TV presenter shared his horror at finding a grass snake on his property in Brentwood, and to his horror, it looked like the slippery reptile had returned during a series of posts on social media on Tuesday. Taking to Instagram, the former It Takes Two host vented his fury after spotting a snake on the CCTV cameras in his pool house, and the 34-year-old pleaded with his 1.9 million followers for help. Posting footage of the snake, he wrote: “OH MY F***ING GOD. Noticed one of my cameras had moved. THAT B*****D IS BACK SEND HELP OMG THATS TWICE NOW WTF WHY IS THIS HAPPENING.”
Rylan gave his fans a live update on the encounter in a series of posts on his Instagram Stories, and filmed himself hiding away from the pool house as he tried to figure out what to do. He said he investigated as he noticed one of his cameras had moved, so went to check it out. “Then I looked at the camera, and I saw that. I don’t know why… what… I’ve come round my mum’s,” he laughed. “Not because I’m running away from the snake because I had to come here anyway, but I’m sort of running away from the snake.”
Rylan spotted the snake on his CCTV cameras“Is it the same snake that’s just got bigger?” he asked. “Is it a different one? Why has it come back? If anyone knows what to do with these snakes, can someone let me know, because it’s an epidemic.” He then updated his followers and told them the “snake catchers were coming”, as he speculated why he was being inundated with the slithery reptiles. “Is there a party of snakes? What do they want? What does it mean? I don’t feel safe,” he quipped.
Rylan then retreated inside and watched the new series of Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off as he tried to “chill out”, but he was overwhelmed with thoughts about the snake. “It’s still in there. I first saw the snake on the camera two days ago. Two days it’s been living in there! So then the camera’s obviously moved. I’ve tracked all the cameras, and the last time the camera moved was today at 4. So I think it’s in there, living. I think it lives there now,” he told his fans, as he pointed through his sliding doors to the pool house.

The TV star called in the experts to find it, but they had no luck capturing it (Instagram)Despite calling in professional help from a local firm who had offered their help, Rylan revealed the snake had managed to evade capture. “We didn't find the snake...the lovely people from GTK Animals, they have some zoo where they find alligators and stuff, I wasn't really listening because my head... But we haven't found the snake,” he explained. However, he revealed his shock when he returned to his kitchen and thought he saw the snake. “I've come back in and I forgot that I left my belt on the kitchen side and it scared the s*** out of me. So yeah...the snake lives another day. I'll be checking those cameras and we'll go from there. I won't be sleeping tonight, have a lovely night,” he joked.
Last year, Rylan was forced to deal with a grass snake he found on his property, and took to social media to ask his fans what he needed to do to get rid of it. “A f****ng snake in my house - what do you do? What do you do? Can someone tell me what do I do, I think this is why I shouldn't live alone. I tried to touch it and now it's moving! Oh my God what is this creature? Will it attack? I don't know I can't deal with it,” he screamed.
