Optical illusions often have you feeling like your brain is playing tricks on you - but they can also reveal a deep truth. They occur because our brain is trying to interpret what we see and make sense of the world around us. Optical illusions simply trick our brains into seeing things which may or may not be real.

What makes it even more confusing, is that two people can look at the same optical illusion and see two completely different things. How your brain interprets this baffling optical illusion will apparently reveal what kind of friend you are based on what animal you see first in the image.

This week there was a picture shared by TikTok creator Mia Yilin, who boasts more than 450,000 followers on the video-sharing app. She said that what you saw first in the picture would determine if you were a pro at small talk or an introvert. In the blue and white image, there is a lion and two zebras, and what you see first can reveal the truth behind your personality.

"If you first saw the two zebras, then you're great at making small talk and forming friendships," she said. "You always know what others want to hear and as a result, are able to bend them to your will." However, according to the content creator, you like to keep deeper issues close to your chest and only confide in "close friends and family".

If you saw the lion first, then your personality is completely different, as you are someone who most likely enjoys spending time alone. "If you first saw the lion, then while you're someone who likes to hang out with friends every once in a while, deep down you're more of an introvert and cherish your alone time," she said. "You rarely raise your voice against others because you understand that simply being loud doesn't achieve anything."

People rushed to the comments to share which animal they saw first and others gushed over the accuracy of her assessment. "How exactly do you always manage to be spot on when it comes to me," one person wrote. "Spot on," said another. A third added: "I can't understand how you get information out of what we see first and blows my mind. I just can't figure it out you're 90% accurate."
