Britney Spears sparks concern from fans as she plays with knives at home

Britney Spears has sparked concern from her fans as she shared a video of herself dancing with a pair of knives.

The singer, 41 - who has a history of showcasing her moves in videos - took to Instagram to share the footage of her dancing in her home. She was seen holding knives in her hands as she moved to the music.

At times during one video, Britney - who assured in the caption that the knives were fake - was seen tapping the knives together. Some of her dogs were seen running away in one instance after walking towards Britney earlier in the clip.

Alongside the video, Britney wrote in the accompanying caption: "I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!" She however further commented as part of the recent post: "Don't worry they are NOT real knives! Halloween is soon."

The footage has since attracted attention on social media platforms including Reddit. A thread about the post featured fans expressing concern, including one who wrote about the video: "Unhinged. This is the most disturbing one yet."

Another reacted: "She says they are not real but they look and sound real to me. This is concerning." A third person seemed to agreed, writing: "Ohhh Brit Brit I would have believed you if you didn't clink them together."

Someone else said: "Wild behaviour! You can literally hear the metal clinking." Another person responded in the thread: "She does not seem well." Whilst another person commented: "I feel so bad for her. She needs help."

Sharing their thoughts about her account, another person said: "Her feed is starting to distress me." Someone else said: "I'm worried about her.. [...] She seems unhinged. Heartbreaking to watch." Another said: "Oh, no. This is not good."

Others shared concern over her dogs, with one person writing: "Real knives or not, those dogs are clearly terrified." Another wrote: "Dude, are those dogs safe?! Is she safe?! This ain't ok." Another said: "She needs serious help, those dogs looked terrified!"

Britney's post has amassed more than 180,000 likes on the platform since it was uploaded. It appears that comments have not been allowed on the post, which included two videos of her dancing with the knives in her hands.
