Manchester United are still celebrating ending their six-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup, but attention is also turning to the FA Cup clash with West Ham.

The Red Devils host the Hammers in the fifth round of the competition on Wednesday night. One man set to star in that game is Marcus Rashford, who has already outdone Cristiano Ronaldo after his key role in the win over Newcastle at Wembley.

The news of Rashford's achievement comes as Gary Neville hailed "brilliant" United boss Erik ten Hag, though the Dutchman also came under fire for his celebration of his side's win. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Manchester United news.

Rashford outdoes Ronaldo

Marcus Rashford has outdone Cristiano Ronaldo's goals record from last season, with three months of the season still to go. The Portuguese superstar scored 24 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils last campaign.

But by scoring against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, Rashford ensured he moved past that tally. The Englishman has now notched 25 goals across the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and Carabao Cup.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has hailed Erik ten Hag for his "brilliant" in-game adjustments that have helped swing matches his side's way. Ten Hag led United to the Carabao Cup on Sunday, leaving Neville deeply impressed.

"SAF [Sir Alex Ferguson] was unbelievable at affecting momentum within games and Jose was great at Chelsea interfering with games with his subs. Wouldn’t say ETH [Erik ten Hag] is there yet (due to both SAF and Jose achievements) but he makes brilliant substitutions and changes within matches. He doesn’t wait!" Neville tweeted.

"One of the hardest things I found as a coach was reading the game at ground level! SAF used to watch a match first half from the stands to gain a clearer understanding of the game. He even raised the dugouts at OT."

"Embarrassing" Ten Hag blasted

While he received plaudits from Neville, Ten Hag has been slammed by celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan. The TV presenter has taken aim at the Dutchman for his celebrations following United's Carabao Cup win.

Ten Hag was seen dancing with Antony and Lisandro Martinez in front of the Red Devils supporters following their win over Newcastle. But Morgan was left shocked that the trio decided to celebrate their trophy win in such a way.

Morgan tweeted: "Can't believe I'm watching a Manchester United manager and players dancing with joy after winning the Carabao Cup... so embarrassing."
