Emmerdale fans are convinced they've worked out a twist as Mack proposed to Chloe after learning that she thinks she's pregnant

Emmerdale fans have rumbled a baby twist - as Mack proposed to Chloe tonight amid news she's pregnant.

Chloe told her partner tonight that she thinks she might be expecting as she had missed her period, with Mack clearly thrilled by the prospect. The pair rushed online to buy a test, but spoilers have confirmed that Chloe isn't actually pregnant.

Charity, Chloe and Mack's love triangle will take centre stage later this year in the Super Soap Week when a car containing Chloe plunges off a cliff in horror scenes - but will she make it out alive, and what happened to lead them there?

Emma Atkins - who played Charity - previously teased the climax of the love triangle would be "quite big".

"I'm very excited! Some super soap weeks I don't manage to be part of, which is just the way it goes. So to be at the centre and for it to be quite a big storm brewing – not literally a storm, we've done that! I just know that it's going to be spectacular in one way or another and we're due to get the scripts shortly, but it's going to be quite big," she said previously.

Tonight, we saw Mack propose to Chloe after learning that she might be pregnant. She was stunned by his gesture, completely shocked that he even considered it, as she asked him if he was joking. He insisted he was keen to do it if she wanted it too.

However, some fans are convinced they've worked out a huge twist - and that there is a baby on the way, but it is not Chloe that is pregnant and in fact Mack has managed to get Charity pregnant, and she's secretly expecting.

"What are the chances that Mackenzie has Chloe and Charity pregnant. #Emmerdale," one wrote, as a second added on social media about the possibility: "I wonder if Charity also finds out she's pregnant #emmerdale."

Emma admitted Charity has been quite "broken" by all that happened between her and Mack. She said: "I think the future will very much be about her confronting those issues, because it's left her quite broken.

"At the moment she's too broken to deal with anything, but she's just letting people know it's in her arsenal, it's there, it's not going away, it's not dying down. She was hoping very much for it to do that and it's not, it's got worse."
