Kourtney Kardashian has been slammed by the mayor of Malibu as he accused her of lying about a party she hosted.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Bruce Silverstein accused the 44-year-old reality star of renting a sprawling mansion for her Poolside with Poosh party over the weekend and lying about the real reason she needed the property. Bruce claims Kourtney said she needed the home to host a baby shower in order to get a permit, but instead used it for an "influencer event" to promote her wellness brand.
After becoming aware of the "unlawful" event, Bruce said he informed the City's Code Enforcement department. He wrote: "I was informed by the City that they 'will have the team try and contact the owner and issues a cease a desist order'."

She hosted a party for her wellness brand (@kourtneykardash/Instagram)Despite his complaint, Bruce said he was informed that "an emergency expedited Special Event permit" had been granted for the event. The mayor said it was "not a good look for the city".
"A legitimate complaint about an unpermitted event is lodged with the city, and the staff springs into action to get the event planner the permit they had neglected to request in violation of applicable law," he added. "Residents routinely complain of a lack of timely response to their complaints, and here the city expeditiously reacted to help out the scofflaw."

Bruce said just 94 guests were down as attending Kourtney's event, but claims this was not the case. The mayor is now requesting an internal investigation to determine whether any city employees were "complicit" in the alleged fraud.

It's also been claimed that Kourtney was open about the true nature of the event. A source told the Daily Mail that the event "was never described as a baby shower on the permit request".
The Mirror has approached Kourtney's representative for comment. The Poolside with Poosh party featured a nail salon, massage stations and a hair salon. It was sponsored by brands such as 818 Tequila and CoverGirl.
