Rumours are ramping up that Meghan Markle could potentially put pen to paper to write a tell-all memoir, with it now being reported that she could clash with publishers should she decide to write a book.

The Duchess of Sussex, who resides in Montecito with her husband Prince Harry, has not confirmed plans to write her own book but is speculated to follow in the footsteps of the Duke after his bombshell memoir Spare came out earlier this year.

Amid the couple's reported four-book deal with Random House, should Meghan release her own memoir, it would likely see "huge sales" and could "widen the Royal rift", but it could also see the Duchess at loggerheads with the publishers, according to a Royal expert.

Royal expert Christine Ross spoke to The Express recently, with her revealing that there could be conflict between Meghan and the publisher on what she wants to reveal should she decide to write a memoir. She told the paper: "The publisher knows that people would be dying of curiosity to see what she might reveal."

But she then noted that Meghan "keeping her comments on the royal family to a minimum would probably benefit her in the long run", but added that publishers would "probably want her to reveal a bigger more juicy gossip because that is what really sells".

Christine then explained how she thinks she will "struggle to balance what is best for her and her image, and what the publishers want to sell" but concluded by saying that if Meghan keeps it personal and doesn't cash in on her Duchess title, then the public might be won over.

And just a couple of weeks ago, Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams spoke about the possibility of Meghan writing a book of her own, with him saying that it would be "very bad news for the Royal Family".

Speaking to the Daily Express US, the expert said: "This would have huge sales which would be almost guaranteed and ensure the rift remains or is widened, if that is possible." This all came to light after reports of the Duchess of Sussex's ex-husband Trevor Engelson potentially planning to write a tell-all memoir.
