Hollyoaks' Rayne Royce's killer 'sealed' as star teases character's motive
Hollyoaks airs a major murder twist this coming week, and one star of the Channel 4 soap may have revealed they could well be Rayne Royce's killer.
The social media influencer will be killed off during a pool party at a mansion, with a number of village residents at the scene of the crime. All of them are suspects in the big soap whodunnit, including Nadira Valli - but who kills the soap villain? One actress has teased it could well be her character that takes action against the character.
Nadira star Ashling O’Shea exclusively told The Mirror that her character has every motive to be the murderer, especially after a money twist in the lead-up to the big event. Feeling betrayed by Rayne and fed up with her meddling, amid her blossoming romance with Lacey, Nadira could take a final revenge.
One Hollyoaks star has spilled on why their character might be behind the murder of Rayne Royce (Channel 4)On possibly being the killer, Ashling said: "Rayne took advantage of Nadira’s kindness; she manipulated her into using her company credit card as Rafe’s event planner for the party house. She told her no money would come out but it has and now she’s essentially stolen a huge sum of money from her boss. She helped Rayne despite her better judgement and now she could face some devastating consequences if anyone finds out."
On why Nadira helped Rayne despite their past clashes, she added: "Nadira is so compassionate and empathetic she finds it really difficult to say no to anyone asking for help, especially the best friend of the first person she’s had feelings for since Juliet. Plus, she was assured no money would come out so no one would need to find out!"

Does Nadira kill Rayne? (RAY BURMISTON)Ashling also addressed the future for Nadira and Lacey, telling us: "As much as I’d like to say yes, I think the long-lasting effects and trauma Rayne’s murder has caused will plague the entire group and make Nadira and Lacey’s relationship really tricky. Sometimes people bond through trauma and sometimes it rips them apart, only time will tell!"
On filming the big episodes recently, which result in Rayne's demise, she said: "It really was a beautiful place to shoot – even with all the rain in what was supposed to be a sunny villa! It was amazing to switch it up a bit and get away for a couple of weeks with some really brilliant people."
