A woman has been charged over allegedly ramming her SUV into a fastfood restaurant after an item was missing from her order.

Police claim 50-year-old Belinda H. Miller drove her vehicle through the door of a Popeyes in Augusta, Georgia, US, after the biscuits were not included in her meal.

The manager said the restaurant had corrected the mistake and given Miller the biscuits before the crash.

Despite this Miller rammed her car into the establishment, continuing driving until her vehicle was stopped by debris, according to the arrest warrants.

A teenager member of staff was nearly hit by the vehicle.

The manager said Miller had threatened staff, including calling the drive thru and threatening to drive her car into the store.

After the crash, she fled the scene and her vehicle was found outside her home with damage to the front.

Miller has been charged with first-degree criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.

Her bail was set at $4,000.

This comes after another shocking incident of violence towards fastfood restaurant staff.

An angry customer shot a teenage fast-food worker after being served the wrong sized drink at a Wendy's in Lynn, Massachusetts.

The 16-year-old employee was hit in the shoulder after the customer fired through the drive-thru window.

Another employee, a 17-year-old, was grazed in the shooting but didn't require hospital treatment.

A friend of the older victim said that the gunman opened fired after not getting what he ordered.

Not wanting to give her name, she said: “He ordered a large, he got a small, he came back around and shot.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on February 8 at the branch in Lynn.

More than six police cars blocked off the area.

Police have confirmed a male employee was shot through the drive-thru window and it came after some kind of dispute.

Footage taken at the scene appears to show two bullet holes piercing the Wendy's drive-thru window.

The 16-year-old victim was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital but thankfully is expected to make a full recovery.

A statement from Wendy's read: "We are deeply disturbed by this senseless act of violence, and we are grateful to the first responders who acted quickly in this situation.

"We will work with local law enforcement as they continue their investigation."

"Our number one priority is the safety of our employees and customers," the written statement continued.

An employee at the Burger King next door said the shooter was parked up in a vehicle in the drive-thru.

Investigators remained at the scene for two hours gathering evidence and speaking to witnesses.
