Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen catching up with Oprah more than two years on from their famous incendiary interview.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a chat with the talk show host at a recent charity event hosted by A-list actor Kevin Costner in California. The One805 Live fundraiser saw the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Maroon 5 join the star-studded crowds and performers at Mr Costner's Santa Barbara estate.

Oprah, who is known to be a close friend of the couple having carried out the bombshell interview in March 2021, was spotted sharing a chat and joke with Harry as she also stood to address the crowds. Meghan was also seen in a black and white poncho coat with her hair neatly tied back for the occasion.

The 85-minute interview, which was carried out at the couple's Montecito home in California in early March 2021 while Meghan was pregnant with their second child, Lilibet, caused shockwaves as they made shocking and damning claims about life inside the Firm. The couple famously divulged allegations one member of the family had asked about the colour of Archie's skin before he was born in a claim later refuted by the Palace.

The allegation also prompted Prince William to tell reporters the royal family was "very much not a racist family" in the following days, as well as a rare statement from the Palace in which it stated recollections from the time "may vary". Prince Harry went on to publish an explosive memoir at the beginning of this year, months after the late-Queen's death, in which he made a series of shocking claims.

The Oprah interview also touched on the subject of mental health, in which they disclosed Meghan had suffered from severe depression whilst a working royal and subject to scrutiny from the British press, saying there had been a point where she "didn't want to be alive anymore". When asked about seeking professional help by the veteran chat show host, Meghan said she was "told that I couldn't, that it wouldn't be good for the institution".

Harry and Meghan were also seen posing for photos with guests at the event, which raised thousands for counselling services supporting those experiencing mental health issues and suicidal feelings. Tables at the fundraiser went for up to $12,000, according to MailOnline, with Katy's Perry's parents also among those in attendance.
