iPhone users should install the latest iOS software update offered by Apple—or risk critical security threats. Every iPhone model sold from 2018 onwards has been issued with changes, which provide a number of 'bug fixes and security updates' that hackers and cybercriminals can use to target your private data and lock you out of your device.

This includes three 'zero-day' rated bugs which means they have already been identified by hackers and could be deployed in attacks on innocent users at any time.

Once it's installed on your iPhone, you'll be safe for the time being. If you miss the pop-up window, don't worry as you can voluntarily install the update at any time by opening the Settings app on your iPhone and tapping General > Settings > Software Update. You are looking for either iOS 16.7 and iOS 17.0.1.
The fixes come hot on the heels of the release of iOS 17 which just came out last week.
