Jonnie Irwin shared an adorable snap of his three sons on his Instagram page as they celebrated a sweet milestone amid his terminal cancer diagnosis.
The 49-year-old property expert and A Place in The Sun presenter who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2020 took to his social media page to share the touching moment he had taken his sons to their swimming lesson. Uploading a photo of them sitting poolside in their swim trunks, Irwin said that he felt like a “proper dad” as he proudly watched over them.
Captioning the snap, Irwin penned: “Swimming lessons-proper dad vibes watching my trio today." Fans of the star flooded his comments section with messages of support. The picture of the trio reached over 16,000 thousand likes including from his former A Place in The Sun co-star Laura Hamilton.
One of his followers wrote: “You most certainly are a real Dad top man.”Another person added: “One day in the future those boys will look back and be so proud of you. Keep going and all power to you.” Meanwhile, a third person wrote: “So you should, you're a wonderful Dad with gorgeous boys! A heart of a lion."

Recently, the dad-of-three shared a snap of himself wearing an oxygen mask which is helping his symptoms and fumed over the waiting time for cancer scans. He penned: "The wait for more scans is frustrating when you know the cancer is on the move again. Meanwhile, there's stuff I can do to make the terrain as tough as possible for growth and the ladies down at @sereniti_health are part of my team of suppliers for various therapies. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to tap into a healthier lifestyle. Big shout as always goes to @how_to_starve_cancer who's constant help has a huge impact. #respect."
Jonnie first discovered symptoms after his vision started to blur while he was filming A Place In The Sun. Within a week of flying home to the UK, he was told by doctors that the cancer had spread to his brain, and he was given six months to live. "I had to go home and tell my wife, who was looking after our babies, that she was on her own pretty much. That was devastating," he told Hello!
