EastEnders star drops hint Stacey is Xmas murderer and teases victim's identity

Lacey Turner has seemingly hinted Stacey Slater could be the Christmas murderer on EastEnders.

Stacey has had a rough few months, struggling with the cost of living and supporting her growing family after finding out that her daughter Lily, then 12, was expecting her first child after a one night stand with Ricky Jr. Turning to cam work, she found something that could fund her family's lifestyle and she even met a seemingly nice man called 'Edmund' on there, who was only happy to pay her as much as she wanted to have conversations and video chats.

However, soon his requests turned darker, and it was later revealed that 'Edmund' was actually Theo Hawthorne, the man who had been teaching Lily at the Slaters house nearly every day. In scary scenes earlier this month, Theo trapped Stacey in her kitchen after she learned who he really was and demanded she hear him out. She managed to get away, but things got even worse when she was told the police couldn't do anything about it - even when he decided to rent the house next door out.

Seemingly hinting that Theo might be the one to die this Christmas at the hands of Stacey, Lacey revealed to Radio Times: "There’s a turning point coming up where Stacey finds fire in her belly to be angry and decides she is not going to be a victim.

"She did what she had to do to keep her family afloat, but is absolutely raging with Theo at this point and in her mind she is going to take him down! So you think Theo is gone, then he appears again and we kind of replay a story we’ve already done which ends slightly differently, and with a few more people involved. Hopefully, this is the end of Theo Hawthorne!"

Whoever ends up dead this Christmas, there will be some huge scenes as we finally learn who the dead man is, what his connection to the Square and its residents is and also why he died. The Six women - Suki, Kathy, Sharon, Stacey, Denise and Linda - are all seen standing around the body, but how did he die - and is one (or all) of them the murderer?
