Emmerdale airs a big decision for one resident on Thursday night after hints of an exit from the ITV soap.
Gabby Thomas makes a possibly life-changing choice after weeks of upheaval, with her keen to start a new life somewhere else. Earlier this year the character was heartbroken, after she was jilted on her wedding day. Her groom Nicky Miligan turned out to be gay, and he was actually using her to get his hands on her money on the order of his father Caleb Miligan.
Gabby has struggled to live in the village alongside Nicky in the fallout and has been keen to flee. But she upset Kim Tate when she vowed to sell up her businesses The Hide an The HOP, with Kim having signed them over to her completely in a bid to get her to stay. Recent drama with the businesses, though, lead to a decision in the next episode after weeks of exit claims.

It seems Gabby decides not to leave the village too, keeping her business there going and in her name. Taking it off the market, she tells Kim the good news and Kim is thrilled.
So what will Gabby do next, and will she definitely decide to stay in the village with son Thomas? Elsewhere, another resident finds their life turned upside down as their secret is finally exposed. Newcomer Gail is met by a mystery newcomer, and it's clear she is hiding something. The character has been acting strangely recently, making excuses to leave and taking mystery phone calls.

But on Thursday night it seems the truth finally comes out, and it appears to be linked to her past. Viewers will find out during the next episode what Gail has been hiding and who the mystery new characters Sophie and Oscar are. Viewers have been speculating a number of theories including a surprise pregnancy, a link to a past character and a horror scam against the Dingles, with Gail dating Charity Dingle's son Ryan Stocks.
