Joel Dommett and his wife Hannah Cooper have welcomed their first child.
The 38-year-old tied the knot with the model in 2019 after three years together, and earlier this year, they announced the exciting news that they were expecting a baby. Alongside snaps showing off her growing baby bump, Hannah joked: “Does anyone know how to change a nappy? Because Joel has s**t himself.” The couple didn’t reveal her due date, but while Joel was hosting the National Television Awards earlier this month, he told the star-studded audience he was ready to leave if Hannah went into labour.
During an interview on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe’s Parenting Hell podcast, Joel revealed ITV bosses had a backup plan in case Hannah was rushed into hospital. “I've got the NTA's so I want to sort of get that done first,” he quipped when asked about his wife’s due date, adding that a “contingency plan” was in place, but bosses wouldn’t tell Joel who would be replacing him if he needed to leave at short notice.

Taking to Instagram, they shared a snap of his tiny feet alongside the caption: "Wilde Cooper-Dommett. Pinterest perfect baby feet that are already bigger than his Dad’s."
Their post which has racked up over 31,000 likes in just a number of minutes was soon flooded with messages of celebration.

Joel and model Hannah have been married since 2019 (Instagram)The comedian sweetly revealed he has been reading to Hannah so she can fall asleep, as the pregnancy has been quite tricky. “Hannah can't fall asleep because she's pregnant so she likes for me to read to her so she falls asleep easily. It's also quite good actually because she falls asleep and I get autocue practice!” he laughed. He’s also been reading baby books and trying hypnobirthing in an effort to help Hannah during labour.
After sharing their exciting news, Hannah joked her husband would be delivering his best dad jokes to their newborn in no time. “I do worry that he sees this child as another audience member in the house. I think he’ll be in performance mode,” she quipped, while The Masked Singer host said he will be “trying to make the midwives laugh” while Hannah is giving birth. “I really have no idea what I’m doing,” he laughed.
The couple met in 2016, when Hannah sent Joel a direct message when he finished as runner-up on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength ever since. “She sent me an emoji with a cat with the heart eyes, and that was it,” he said when news broke of their engagement. “I've been burned online with relationships before, but we met up and got on really well and went on a super first date. Now on every anniversary we replicate our first date.” They tied the knot on the Greek island of Mykonos in 2019, with Joel’s pal Iain Stirling serving as officiant.
