Joe Swash has admitted he’s “fighting a losing battle” with his wife Stacey Solomon.
The former EastEnders star, 41, wed Sort Your Life Out presenter Stacey, 33, in an emotional ceremony last year, with the loved-up couple exchanging vows at their lavish mansion, dubbed Pickle Cottage, in the Essex countryside. They welcomed baby Belle, their third child together, in January this year, but Joe has confessed he and Stacey are locked in a bitter battle over expanding their brood even more.
Discussing family life with Closer magazine, the TV presenter said he and his wife need to “put a cap on” the amount of children they have, and he was planning on having a vasectomy. The couple are already parents to son Rex, 4, daughter Rose, 23 months, and Belle, but Joe is also dad to son Harry, 16, from a previous relationship, and Stacey shares sons Leighton, 11, and Zachary, 15, with former partners.
Joe has ruled out having more babies with wife Stacey (Stacey Solomon/Instagram)“We love our family unit and all our kids. But we’ve got to put a cap in it somewhere. I think six is a good number. I think the snip could be on the cards,” he laughed. “I’m trying to fight it, but it’s a losing battle – Stacey keeps telling me it’s reversible, and that’s a big hint!” Joe and Stacey first began dating in 2015, after meeting in Australia while filming the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here spin-off show, and after four years together, they welcomed their first child, son Rex.
Since then, they’ve expanded their gorgeous family with daughter Rose and baby Belle, and Stacey kept her last pregnancy secret until just a few weeks before she was due to give birth. She confessed it was falling pregnant with Rose that ultimately postponed their wedding, as the couple wanted to have all their children around then when they tied the knot. But earlier this year, Joe said he and Stacey were “addicted” to having babies, but admitted it was hard finding time for each other when they had so many kids to take care of.

He previously joked his wife was 'addicted' to having babies (staceysolomon / Instagram)“We’re at number six now,” he told OK! back in July. “The baby bit goes so fast, and then before you know it, they’re toddlers – then you yearn for babies again,” he shared, adding that it was “nice to be needed”. Teasing more additions to their brood, Joe said he would “never say never”, and said his wife Stacey can only last “three or four years” before wanting another baby.
